I'm 38 and love almost all cars. The older I get the more I hate wrenching. I enjoy installing car audio and video stuff and like helping others on their rides because it lets me try new things and do things often that I can't afford to do myself. My wife and I love entering car shows And seeing all the unique mods people come up with for their rides. The wife and I tag teamed this car and got most of what you see done in 2 days so it would be ready for it's first car show. Got there really late and took 2nd. I have a feeling next year if I go right when the gates open can get 1st.
Out of a lack of funds everything has been done by myself on this car and I take a lot of pride when it does well at shows and online. From the paint to A/V set up people of all ages love it and it makes it very rewarding.
thanks for the compliment, and the add too. i hear ya on your '67 Barracuda. the day after i picked up this Dart, a friend of mine told me about another friend of ours, who was getting rid of his rotisserie restored '68 Commando S Barracuda, with numbers matching 383 and 4 speed, all it needed was assembled-FOR THE SAME PRICE!!! i luv the Dart, and it's squirrelly as hell, but, come on.........when would you ever come accross a deal like that again. ah well that's life, besides, my son luv's the car too!
Check the Craigslist ads for Austin for jobs and housing...it'll give you an idea of what's available here. I found my current job on Craigslist. Also look at the Austin American Statesman on line. That's the local newspaper. If you decide to make a move, let me know. Maybe I can help you gather some info here. FYI--it's gong to be in the upper 70's with rain showers here today.
thats really some nice pics bet you wish you could see something like that about now ! Its probly 20 degrees with 2 ft of snow , Ha the south rules its gonna be 80 here tomorrow ,
Hey man, thanks for the comment. I'm trying to get the car ready for the car shows next year. I have until August, but the more that I do now, the less I have to do later. I have a lot to do. You saw the fascia.
Wishing you and your family a very merry Christmas. Have a good one and stay safe.
